Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Zeroo mobile app and website (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use Zeroo. By using the Service you confirm that you meet this requirement.

2. Your account

  • You are responsible for keeping your password confidential.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • Notify us immediately at zeroo@zeroo.ng if you believe your account has been compromised.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use Zeroo to record or send harassing, defamatory, or unlawful content.
  • Use Zeroo to charge interest in any way that violates Nigerian usury law or your jurisdiction's consumer-credit regulations.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service.
  • Use the Service to spam, scrape, or interfere with other users' ledgers.
  • Bypass security or rate-limiting measures.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Your data & ledger

The customers, sales, payments, and other ledger data you create in Zeroo belong to you. You grant us a limited licence to host and process this data solely to provide the Service. We will never sell your ledger data.

5. WhatsApp reminders

Zeroo's reminder feature opens the WhatsApp app on your device with a pre-filled message that you can edit. We do not transmit messages on your behalf. WhatsApp's own terms apply to messages you send through their service.

6. Pricing & payment

The free tier is offered as-is. Paid features, when introduced, will be presented in the app with clear pricing before you subscribe. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled in the App Store or Google Play settings.

7. Intellectual property

Zeroo, the Zeroo logo, and the Service are owned by us and protected by copyright and trade-mark law. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of our IP to you.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Zeroo is a record-keeping tool. We are not a party to the credit relationships between you and your customers, and we do not guarantee that any debt recorded in Zeroo will be repaid. We are not a financial institution and do not provide loans, advice, or money-transmission services.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Zeroo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the greater of (a) NGN 10,000 or (b) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

10. Termination

You may stop using Zeroo at any time by deleting your account in-app. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated in-app and by email at least 30 days before they take effect.
